Vision and Guiding Principles
Our aim is "to provide thought leadership and operational excellence in our approach to our customers, our people, the environment and our communities"
Speedy has a comprehensive corporate responsibility strategy which is built into the fabric of our organisation. At the heart of this strategy is a determination to drive innovation and positive change through our leading market position.
To ensure that Speedy as a group meet our vision for the corporate responsibility agenda we work to a set of "CR Guiding Principles" which are central to the group brand and reflect what our customers, suppliers, employees and communities can expect of us throughout our operations.
Our "CR Guiding Principles" and approach to corporate responsibility are structured against the Business in the Community (BITC) model of Marketplace, Workplace, Environment and Community.
Guiding Principles
- to operate and conduct our business in a transparent, straightforward and open way;
- to attract, retain, train and develop the best people and recognise and reward success;
- to progressively reduce our environmental impact and promote sustainable growth;
- to implement internal excellence in the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and promote those standards externally; and
- to be a positive influence in the communities in which we operate
Manifesto
As industry leaders in our chosen sectors Speedy take our wider responsibilities very seriously. Although we do not seek to 'lobby' political parties or government we take an active role in the Hire Association of Europe (HAE) as the voice of our industry. However, due to the challenging economic outlook and our passion for our industry, Speedy took the decision to produce our manifesto for the industry covering the immediate economic outlook and key issues such as skills and the environment.
Our manifesto took into account the views of our stakeholders from customers to investors, from suppliers to our people, and we would welcome ongoing dialogue on any of the issues within our manifesto.
